A church for all in the heart of the city
Music and singing are a vital part of the Methodist tradition: the hymns of Charles and John Wesley and the organ music of Samuel Wesley have also become part of worship by many other Christian denominations.
The choir leads the singing for our morning service. Often an anthem or other special music is included. The choir also participates in larger events from time to time. We are always keen to welcome new choir members and if you would like to sing (no auditions) please come and join us. They meet at 7pm on Friday evenings at Wesley. Contact Geoff Batty, our organist and choirmaster using our contacts page or call the church office.
We are fortunate to have a magnificent William Hill organ, inherited from the former Bradford Central Hall. We also have a fine grand piano. Contact the office if you would like to play the organ or piano for practice, or perform a recital.
We frequently welcome visiting choirs and musical groups taking part in our morning service, or promoting concerts at Wesley Church. Contact the office if you have an idea along these lines.
