Facilities

The Church, built in 1913, overlooks Christ's Pieces, one of the most delightful of Cambridge's commons. Built in Gothic style, the building blends with public and university buildings in the city.
It was extensively refurbished in 1990 and is now an extremely user-friendly building, with good access, facilities for families with children of all ages, the disabled and for those with hearing difficulties. It also has a good-sized and well-equipped kitchen.
Many of our rooms and facilities are available for booking, and are used for diverse functions including concerts, talks, lunch clubs, play groups, youth groups, exams, dances, weddings, and social events.
The layout on the ground floor includes:

Nave - Multi-purpose; Main worship area with seating for over 300 - also useful for concerts or large assemblies since seating is on moveable chairs and dais is adjustable and moveable. Also has built-in flexible sound system with an induction-loop to assist those with hearing aids. |

Little Chapel - Can provide a more intimate atmosphere for worship where numbers are small - also useful for private prayer at other times. |

Octagon - Medium sized room seating up to 35. Used by a play-group during term and has access to garden via French doors. |

Refectory - Largest meeting room, can seat up to 75. Close proximity to kitchen means ideally suited for use by Luncheon clubs on Thursdays and Fridays. Has built-in sound system with induction loop for those with hearing aids. Also has its own small built-in kitchen facilities and toilets. |

Upper Room - Good sized meeting room only slightly smaller than the Octagon downstairs. |

Aldersgate room - an office-sized room which can be used as a small meeting room or occasionally as a waiting-room for anyone wishing to see the Minister. |
